Job Summary
A leading sustainable marine transportation client is seeking a qualified and safety-oriented Tanker Captain. The Captain serves as the company's management representative aboard the vessel with overriding authority regarding safety and pollution prevention. The position offers a stable, full-time, permanent management-level role.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety of crew, vessel, and cargo
- Protect the marine environment and prevent pollution
- Protect commercial interests of the owner
- Comply with Canada Shipping Act, Labour Code, and ISM/ISO standards
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Captain on tanker vessels
- Experience with Safety Management Systems

Job Details
The Captain serves as the company's management representative aboard the vessel, tasked with supporting and protecting the best interests of the organization across all operational areas. As a non-unionized management leader, the Captain holds overriding authority and responsibility regarding vessel safety and pollution prevention. Operations must strictly align with the Canada Shipping Act and Regulations, Canada Labour Code, company policies, the ISM Code, and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 Standards.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as a Captain on tanker vessels.
- Demonstrated experience with Safety Management Systems.
- Excellent leadership capabilities.
- Working-level proficiency in the English language.
